For 2013 Nick Cowell and I decided on a creative collaboration called 3 x 2 because we 2 each take 3 picture based on a monthly theme that someone else chooses – and we share our pictures on each other’s blog. Comments are very, very, very welcome!
Now it’s December and the end of our year of creative photo challenge – the theme we chose is “endings”.
November’s theme was proposed by our loyal blog-follower Anna: tenderness.
October’s theme – selected by a random Virgina-Woolf-based selection method – is ‘fear’. And honestly and I absolutely swear that this didn’t have anything to do with halloween (which I’m not at all into)…
September’s theme is ‘travel’ because we both travelled around a bit – France, Greece, Devon, Nunhead…

August = Summer time = Special time. So here’s our ‘Summer Special’, enjoy!!

July’s theme – inspired by our challenges with the June theme – was ‘patience’. Here’s what we came up with.
June: love. As suggested by Michelle. Thanks! We hope you like our selection.
Our May theme was fragile coming out of a rather fragile facebook poll. we loved ‘fragile’ as you can hopefully tell by our results

Our April theme was chosen by Petra’s house mate Fiona: surface. I do believe she had actually just wiped the surface of our table where we had a meal together whilst discussing our photography projects… Here’s our response to it:
For March Nick’s friend and photographer Michael Wharley proposed the theme ‘unexpected London‘. The usual seen from an unusual viewpoint. The unexpected in the city. Being surprised, taken aback, thrown, amazed, amused…

In February we awarded the task of giving us a theme to my mum who had been to visit. We had a lively conversation about this in the Little Georgia Cafe with my mum not speaking a word of English. She suggested “Laterne” which means “lantern” as much as “street lamp”, and we got permission to extend it to “light & lamp” in general. Here are our results.
For January our joint friend Katharine has proposed the theme “vessel” inspired by the anatomy atlas she was absorbed by while Nick and I discussed our creative ideas. At Cafe Departures. In Limehouse. On a rainy Saturday morning.
