i heard in the news on friday night that cornwall received two weeks of rain in just one day. i saw images of porthleven being crushed under gigantic untameable looking waves. i heard the rain thundering down on our skylight like a mountain waterfall after the snowmelt. a reminder that nature is queen and our lives tiny. we owe her. and we’ve developed complicated ways to help us forgetting that.
this old poster hangs in the lighthouse on Trinity Buoy Wharf where nature has left an imprint like a map of weather and age.
