in our artist circle we spent last night making masks from plaster. this was inspired by an earlier conversation about the power of masks in our lives to help us play roles and be who we think we need to or want to be in a situation. i often thought about masks as something very protective – but last night taught me about the vulnerability, surrender & trusting-ness of having a mask made and the responsibility, carefulness & caring-ness of modelling someone else’s mask…
