in the past 2 weeks i’ve taken quite a few walks across Tower Hamlets Cemetery which has turned into a little urban jungle thanks to the monsoon-like summer weather. it’s a great little oasis and my favourite choice if i have an urge to see trees. last week i’ve learnt about “honesty”, a plant i didn’t know the name for – i used to call it “moon plant'” because that’s what it looks like in autumn. our cemetery is full with moon plants in autumn, like a whole galaxy of moon plants and lots of them seem to have a man on the moon in them. which leads me back to my past week: because aside from the cemetery i’ve also spent some joyful hours watching the”ziggy stardust” documentary on BBC and being amazed and inspired by david bowie’s radical & creative power.
