Tradition The past week was totally taken over by my friend’s wedding which was a fascinatingly rich but also busy fusion of different traditions: British, West African, Caribbean, Civil, Multi-Faith,┬áHindu, Contemporary, Classic elements were included. This picture struck me because it shows such a delicate moment of peace: like a busy mobile that’s momentarily found a perfect balance.

Static protest Until last week I had never heard of a ‘static protest’ before. Last Saturday I joined the ‘static counter protest’ against the EDL. Eid, E2, EDL I’m almost a bit overwhelmed with the colours, patterns and details in this picture. I took it on Tuesday when all around me people had dressed up for Eid and there was a real sense of celebration and festivity in the air.
